For this very special event, Irish Vintage Scene Magazine have tracked down two extremely rare cars, both of which share a unique Irish connection in that they were actually manufactured in Ireland.
Our second display car is even more unique as it is the only example of its kind ever built, and is an even rarer sight at vintage and classic car events.
Newcastle Car Show to be shaken, not stirred
A bit of James Bond motoring magic is coming to Newcastle later this month.
Some of the best known models from 50 years of Bond movies will be centre stage at this year’s annual Vintage, Classic and Sports car Show at the Slieve Donard Hotel (January 25-27).

The Ford Cortina car is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year and so we take a trip down memory lane and see what made this one of Ford's most sought after cars back in the 60's, 70's and the 80's. Our story follows some enthusiasts from the Cortina Owners Club of Ireland as we journey in the Autumn of 2012 to Co.Cork the home of Ford to celebrate the anniversary of this famous car.

The weekend of the 9th & 10th February 2013 will see the 1st RIAC National Classic Car Show take place in the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin. This is a long overdue addition to the Irish show calendar, and one that the Royal Irish Automobile Club and the organising committee have already put a huge amount of work into. The RIAC’s involvement in motoring in Ireland goes back to 1901;

The High Nelly is a symbol of former times in Ireland. It revolutionised life not just in rural areas but also in towns and on city streets. It was a means of transport to school and to work, to sporting fixtures and to dances, to church services and to romantic liasions. Modern bicycles have attained a high degree of sophistication but very few will give the long years of service that the High Nelly bicycles have given.

The current issue of Irish Vintage Scene (October 2012, Issue 77) contains an advert on page 7 listing the incorrect date for the next Classic Car Sale/Show & Autojumble at the National Show Centre, Swords, Co. Dublin. The correct date is SUNDAY THE 7th OF OCTOBER, and for the first time this year the event is incorporating a hotly-anticipated conocurs competition for classic cars.
This year for the first time the IVVCC will have a stand at the Beaulieu Auto jumble, the stand will be located just inside the entrance close to the Bonhams tent, which is across from the Brabazon Restaurant.
The 18th annual Lough Rynn Harvest Festival & Vintage Day will take place on the 2nd of September next,
