Another casualty of the weather is the Mountbellew Vintage Show in Co. Galway, which was set to take place on the 29th of July. The club committee took the very hard decision of cancelling the show, based on the current ground conditions and a number of long term weather forecasts. The club have worked hard to build up their show to become one of the best in the country, and did not take this decision lightly; the committee are already looking forward to the 2013 event, and on behalf of the club want to thank everyone for their great support in recent years. It’s not all doom and gloom though, as the club have retained the model show, which will now run for two days; Saturday the 28th, as originally planned, and Sunday the 29th. Also on the Saturday evening the Irish Vintage Scene tractor-build will take place in the square in Mountbellew, as well as some of the originally-planned entertainment.
