Each month we like to bring the recipients of our online newsletter something of interest from the worldwide web, be it a video, photo or a blog. This month we’d like to share with you a glimpse into a bygone age of motorsport, and motorcycling in particular, courtesy of the iconic Pathé News – it’s a short but fascinating video of the Leinster Motorcycle Club’s third annual trial on the aptly-titled Slithers Hill in 1924. What’s perhaps most interesting about the footage is the fact that most of the riders are wearing nothing on their head but a jaunty cap, with some even having a cigarette clamped between their lips as they tackle the muddy climb!
