Description

On the cover of the August 2024 edition of Irish Vintage Scene is a true rarity, an ex-Irish Army Willys CJ-2A jeep that’s recently been restored after four decades rusting away. Usually associated with the US military, the Willys CJ series served with many countries including here in Ireland, but having been decommissioned in 1965 this one is a very rare survivor. Our second featured car is one of the great saloon cars of the 1970s, an Austin 1100 Mk2 that’s cherished by its current owners following a restoration that was a real family affair.

This month’s featured tractor is a mid-sixties Massey Ferguson 135 that has an unusual specification that leads to its owner suspecting it could actually be a rare MF133. Our motorcycle feature is a bit of a change from our norm, an out-and-out custom bike but one that perfectly melds vintage style with modern performance. And, our featured commercial vehicle this month is a truly outstanding VW T25 panel van that’s never been welded and only has 57,000 miles on the clock. Lots of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out!
