On the cover of our December 2024 edition of Irish Vintage Scene is one very special 1979 Mini 1000, which had only covered a small mileage with its three first owners before it was locked away in a barn 25 years ago. It was finally wheeled out into the sunlight earlier this year, and following some very careful repairs and handling it remains in outstanding original condition – a true barn find! Our second feature car is one of the finest-looking Ford Cortina Mk3s we’ve seen in a long time, one that was recently restored by the owner’s two sons after they completed the car restoration skills course at WWETB in Waterford.

This month’s featured tractor is an early eighties International 785 L-Cab that put in loyal service on its owner’s farm for 25 years, and has just been rewarded with a complete and detailed restoration, right down to its Tanco loader. Our motorcycle feature showcases an award-winning Suzuki GT125 that’s been rebuilt to a concours standard by its fastidious owner, while this month’s featured commercial is a quirky little Citroen 2CV pickup conversion that was lucky to find the right custodian, as it had deteriorated into very poor condition in its recent life. Lots of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out!
