The January to March 2015 issue of Retro Classics Magazine is now on sale, and as always is packed from cover to cover with some of the finest modified classics in Ireland. On the cover is a beautiful 1970 Mini Cooper S, an original Dublin car that’s come in for some very subtle upgrades during its recent extensive restoration. A well-engineered VW Beetle with a 2.5-litre Subaru engine also features, as does a stunning Lotus twin-cam-powered Mk1 Escort. For competition car fans there’s a feature on one man’s collection of Hillman/Chrysler rally cars (and his Avenger estate ‘service wagon’), and speaking of wagons we also take a look at a 1963 Consul Cortina estate that’s been brought up to 1500GT specification.
